On Zoom | Link will be emailed to registrants only
Here’s what you can expect: Part of the mission of Beirut and Beyond is foster awareness of the complications and intricacies of the Middle East and encourage others to be peacemakers, so we’ll start there. Beirut and Beyond’s executive director, Suzann Mollner, will give a presentation on the history and realities of 75+ years of refugee status. You do not have to have any knowledge or history in this conversation to participate. Even if you do have some context, I guarantee you will learn something new. You will hear of the major events that created Palestinian refugees, what permanent refugees face today, and what help and support looks like from organizations like Beirut and Beyond.
I also will share my experiences in the Middle East and my photography and design work I’ve done alongside Beirut and Beyond. We will talk about our upcoming June trip to Lebanon and Jordan to work in the refugee camps, and discuss the importance of my work with Beirut and Beyond. This is the only pre-trip event I’m doing, so please come hear more about my work and Palestinian refugees!
This is a great great opportunity to start learning more about the mission I care so deeply about: serving Palestinian refugees.
