Hey friends,
Exciting, exciting day! My favorite filmmaker (Lane Mathis, my husband) has a new film out!
Three climbers travel to the desert in southern Jordan with ambitions of pioneering new climbing routes in Wadi Rum. What lies ahead is an adventure that exceeds their climbing expectations. Join the journey as they face challenges and encounter a new culture and landscape.
In my (totally biased but also honest) opinion, the film delivers with an irreverent sense of humor, an earnest curiosity, and you can’t help but be drawn into both the Bourdainian quest and the magical environment. Desert Leather will have your palms sweaty, will make you crack up, and perhaps leave you hungry for more of what this adventure has to offer. Also, stay for the credits – they’re hilarious and you might recognize another name.
